Acadia National Park
Mount Desert Island
Jordan Pond is an oligotrophic tarn in Acadia National Park. The pond is flanked by Penobscot Mountain and two mountains known as “the Bubbles”. The sunset light is amazing here and it’s a great place for photographers.
The very clear water serves as water supply for the village of Seal Harbor. Some types of boats are permitted here but humans and pets must stay out of the water.
